Eco Tour cum Environmental Training Classes
 

  • The Eco Tour cum Environmental Training Program at Shree Shakthi Environmental Center is designed to provide an immersive learning experience for students, farmers, and environmental enthusiasts. The program covers a wide range of topics, from soil health management to advanced irrigation techniques, with a hands-on approach to environmental sustainability. Participants engage in practical activities such as seed sowing, soil mixing, and drip irrigation technology. The training schedule ensures a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.

  • Participants are welcomed with an introductory session, followed by a visit to the seed display and nursery. They then participate in hands-on planting sessions and practical demonstrations of various modern farming techniques. The program also includes a high-quality lunch, followed by specialized lectures on terrace gardening and mulching techniques. The day concludes with a certificate distribution ceremony, acknowledging the participant’s contribution to sustainable practices.

  • The training center accommodates 150 participants in an open-air theater, 80 participants in an indoor setting, and 60 participants in a scenic outdoor area. Each facility is designed to enhance the learning experience through interaction with nature.

Mini Nursery

The Mini Nursery at Shree Shakthi Environmental Center spans 1500 sq. ft. and serves as a hub for seed display and sapling production. The nursery is designed to educate visitors about different plant species and their growth requirements. With a focus on sustainable farming practices, the nursery specializes in the propagation of fruit-bearing, medicinal, and ornamental plants.

The nursery was inaugurated by prominent forestry and agricultural professionals and has since become a key attraction for eco-tourists and students. Saplings available at the nursery include a wide range of species such as Mango, Jackfruit, Neem, Bamboo, and more. The nursery also offers customized solutions for institutions and individuals seeking expert guidance in selecting and nurturing plants for parks and landscapes.

Visitors to the nursery can engage in hands-on activities such as selecting seeds, preparing soil mixtures, and learning about plant care techniques. Workshops and guided tours are regularly conducted to enhance awareness and encourage sustainable gardening practices.

Shree Shakthi Environmental Center boasts a variety of specialized farms, each dedicated to specific fruit species, including Guava, Soursop, and Coconut. The Guava Farm consists of over 50 trees from four distinct varieties, ensuring a diverse and rich harvest. The Soursop Farm, known for its medicinal benefits, has 40 trees specifically cultivated for their cancer-fighting properties. The Coconut Farm features 900 trees, providing a steady supply of coconuts while contributing to soil health and erosion control.

Agroforestry Model Farm

The Multi-Functional Agroforestry Model Farm at Shree Shakthi Environmental Center is designed following the guidelines of the Forest College and Research Institute. This innovative model incorporates different layers of vegetation, including vegetables, fruits, casuarina, non-timber forest products, and high-value trees. The circular design allows for optimal space utilization and resource efficiency.

Each circle in the model farm is dedicated to a specific category of crops, such as vegetables in the innermost circle, followed by fruit trees, non-timber forest products, plywood trees, and high-value timber species in the outermost ring. This approach ensures a sustainable and diversified farming system that benefits both the environment and the economy.

The Casuarina Farm consists of over 3000 saplings of the high-yielding MTP02 variety, widely used for timber production and windbreak. The careful management of these farms ensures sustainable yield while promoting biodiversity.

We are creating a unique bamboo hut that blends natural elements to promote relaxation and well-being. The design features Buddha Belly Bamboo (Bambusa ventricosa) planted in the inner circle, known for its distinctive, bulbous stems and air-purifying properties. This bamboo variety enhances the atmosphere by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing fresh oxygen, creating a refreshing environment.

Surrounding the hut, we have planted vetiver grass (Chrysopogon zizanioides), which is valued for its cooling properties and pleasant aroma. Vetiver plays a crucial role in improving air quality and providing a natural sense of calm.

Spending just a few minutes inside this green sanctuary allows you to experience fresh oxygen, a peaceful ambiance, and the therapeutic benefits of nature. This space is designed to help visitors unwind, reduce stress, and connect with the soothing essence of greenery.

Wellness Forest

Shree Shakthi Environmental Center offers a range of environmental conservation services aimed at promoting sustainability and ecological balance. The Wind Break Plantation is designed to protect farms from strong winds using the Casuarina CJ 01 variety, creating a natural barrier that enhances farm productivity and soil enrichment.

The center is also home to a Rare and Endangered Trees Plantation, featuring species such as Blackwood, soft figs, Indian bat trees, and etc., This initiative contributes to the conservation of threatened plant species and serves as an educational resource for visitors.

The Wellness Forest is another highlight of the center, offering a serene environment with a mix of evergreen, fruiting, and aromatic trees. This forest not only serves as a conservation area but also provides therapeutic benefits to visitors, promoting mental and physical well-being through interaction with nature.

Herbal Garden

The herbal garden at Shree Shakthi Environmental Center features over 50 varieties of medicinal plants including Aloe Vera, Tulsi, and Lemon Grass. The garden is designed to educate visitors about the therapeutic uses of plants and their role in promoting health and well-being.
